The Djibouti Football Federation said it supports FIFA President Gianni Infantino in his bid for another term, endorsing his candidacy for 2027–2031, according to a statement on Friday.
The endorsement follows Infantino’s announcement on the sidelines of the 76th FIFA Congress in Vancouver, Canada.
In a statement issued under the leadership of FIFA Council member and federation president Souleiman Hassan Waberi, the body praised Infantino’s tenure, citing more than a decade of what it described as an ambitious and inclusive vision for global football development.
The federation highlighted efforts to strengthen member associations, improve governance and increase investment in infrastructure and training.
It also pointed to FIFA-backed development programmes in Djibouti, including the construction of synthetic pitches, the establishment of academies and improvements to domestic competitions and technical training.
