Djibouti, 13 January 2026– Four people were killed and ten others injured, four of them seriously, following a car accident on Monday afternoon near the Bolli area in the Tadjoura region of northern Djibouti, according to the Djibouti news agency.
The accident occurred at Gabira-Bahari, approximately two kilometers from the Bolli area, at around 5:00pm.

Preliminary reports indicate that all of those who died were Ethiopian citizens. There were 14 people in the vehicle, including five Djiboutian citizens: the vehicle owner, his son who was driving, and three other passengers.
The injured were taken to nearby medical facilities for treatment, while security authorities have launched an investigation to determine the official cause of the accident.
