United Kingdom , May 03, 2026 - Arsenal delivered a powerful statement in the Premier League title race with a convincing 3–0 victory over Fulham at the Emirates Stadium, moving six points clear at the top of the table.
In a performance that combined intensity, control, and clinical finishing, Mikel Arteta’s side reminded their rivals why they remain serious title contenders as the season approaches its climax.
The match was effectively decided in the first half, where Arsenal overwhelmed Fulham with pace, precision, and attacking fluidity.
Viktor Gyökeres was the standout performer, scoring twice and providing an assist in a dominant display. He opened the scoring early, finishing from close range after being set up by Bukayo Saka.
The roles were reversed before halftime, with Gyökeres turning provider and Saka calmly finishing to double Arsenal’s lead.
Just before the break, Gyökeres struck again, heading home to complete a commanding first-half performance and effectively put the game beyond reach. By halftime, Arsenal were 3–0 up, and in full control.
What made this victory particularly significant was not just the scoreline, but the manner of the performance.
Arsenal dominated possession, controlled the tempo, and limited Fulham to very few meaningful opportunities. The structure of the team looked refreshed, with returning players adding energy and balance.
Manager Mikel Arteta praised the performance as one of the most complete displays of the season, emphasizing the importance of momentum at this critical stage.
After recent inconsistencies, this was exactly the kind of response needed.
The result has major consequences at the top of the table.
This win not only strengthens Arsenal’s position but also re-establishes belief within the squad after a period of uncertainty.

With just a few matches remaining, every result now carries enormous weight. For Fulham, this was a disappointing outing in a match where they struggled to impose themselves.
Their defensive structure was repeatedly exposed in the first half, and they offered little attacking threat throughout the game. Manager Marco Silva acknowledged the poor performance, while also pointing to challenges within the squad.
Despite the defeat, Fulham remain in contention for a potential European place, but this result highlights the gap between them and the league’s top sides.
Another important aspect of Arsenal’s performance was squad rotation. With a crucial second-leg clash in the UEFA Champions League against Atlético Madrid approaching, Arteta managed his players carefully.
Several key players were rested in the second half, ensuring freshness for the European fixture while maintaining control of the match. This balance between domestic ambition and European competition could define Arsenal’s season.
This victory could prove to be a turning point.
At the same time, the title race is far from over. City’s games in hand mean the gap is not as secure as it appears, and consistency will be key in the final weeks.
Arsenal’s 3–0 win over Fulham was more than just three points, it was a statement.
It showed composure under pressure, quality in key moments, and a team that still believes it can go all the way. With standout performances from Gyökeres and Saka, and a controlled display from start to finish, the Gunners have positioned themselves strongly in the title race.
Now, the challenge is clear: maintain this level, manage the pressure, and finish the job. Because at the top of the Premier League, the margins are small, and the stakes could not be higher.
