MOGADISHU, (Dawan) — The U.S. Embassy in Mogadishu congratulated the Somali people on the Independence and Unity Day, wishing long-lasting peace and stability.
“On this important day, the United States extends its congratulations and best wishes for peace, stability, and a brighter future for all Somalis,” the embassy said in a statement.
Somalia’s Independence Day is a time for the Somali people to show national pride and reflection, as they commemorate the country’s history, identity, and development aspirations. The day also provides an opportunity for international partners to send messages of solidarity and goodwill to the Somali people.
