At least four people, a father and three of his children were on Tuesday confirmed dead and three others were injured after several mortar rounds landed near Somalia's Presidential Place in Mogadishu.
One of two mortar rounds landed in Waberi district and caused the casualties and property destruction according to the grandfather who spoke to local TV Stations in Mogadishu.
Federal and regional authorities did not provide details about the attack on civilians.
Al-Shabaab militants did not comment on the latest attack on residential areas in the capital so far.
