Somalia, 30 April 2026 Somalia’s Justice and Solidarity Party opened a new office in Hirshabelle State’s capital, Jowhar, on Wednesday.
The office was inaugurated by Hirshabelle President, Ali Abdullahi Guudlaawe, as the ruling party continued to expand its activities in the federal state.
Today is a big day; this is the second JSP office to be opened in Hirshabelle,” the president said during the event.
The ceremony was attended by Hirshabelle assembly members, party officials, the mayor of Jowhar, and community representatives, according to a statement.
President Guudlaawe called on the public to take part in the political process and encouraged residents to register at designated centers.
“If you do not have a voter registration card, you cannot vote,” he said.

The opening comes as preparations continue for regional elections, which are expected to take place in May following adjustments to the electoral timeline.
The Hirshabelle presidency said residents across the region are actively registering at centers set up by electoral authorities.
