Mogadishu (Dawan Africa) Somalia’s electoral commission has announced three remaining lawmakers for the South West State assembly following elections held on May 10, 2026.
According to a statement from the commission the three members brings the total number of representatives in the assembly to 95.
The commission stated that the announcement completes the assembly election, in accordance with constitutional requirements and the procedures established under Somalia’s electoral law.
The three representatives are:
• Abdullaahi Mohamed Hamud Abdi (Karaama)

The commission said the elections were conducted in line with procedural rules, ensuring transparency, fairness, and public participation.
The update marks the completion of the process, paving way for the legislative body to commence its work.
