Mogadishu(Mogadishu24)-The proposed 2025 education budget in Somalia, which has increased by 54.26% to $110 million, is sparking heated debates in parliament regarding national priorities, political motivations, and concerns over corruption.
Accounting for 8.23% of the federal government’s total budget, this is the largest increase among all ministries. While intended to revitalize the struggling education sector, the significant boost has raised questions about how the funds will be allocated and whether they will truly benefit the nation's education system.
