Somalia's National Security Adviser Ambassador Aweys Haji Yusuf, met Turkish Ambassador to Somalia Alper Aktaş in Mogadishu on Sunday, state broadcaster SNTV reported.
The meeting focused on security cooperation and counterterrorism and strengthening the broader strategic partnership between Somalia and Türkiye.
According to Somali National Television the two sides also discussed expanding cooperation between their respective security institutions and enhancing coordination on issues of mutual interest.

Türkiye has remained one of Somalia's key international partners, providing support in areas including military training, development projects and humanitarian assistance over the past decade.
The Somali government said it continues to attach importance to its partnership with Türkiye, particularly in the areas of security cooperation and institutional development.
The meeting comes as Somalia continues to engage with international partners to strengthen its security institutions and address ongoing security challenges through bilateral and multilateral cooperation.
