Mogadishu (Dawan Africa) Somalia’s Public Works Minister Ayub Ismail Yusuf met Turkey’s Transport Minister Abdulkadir Uraloğlu to strengthen cooperation in infrastructure, housing and private sector-led projects.
The meeting, held in Ankara, discussed establishing joint projects that support sustainable development, particularly in key infrastructure and housing sectors.
According to Somalia's Public Works Ministry, the ministers also discussed the role of the private sector infrastructure development and ways to strengthen public-private partnership.

The minister and his delegation also visited Turkey’s Roads Authority, where they reviewed projects implemented through cooperation between the Turkish government and private companies.
The Somali government said it is pursuing plans to encourage projects jointly implemented by the government and private companies in order to accelerate reconstruction and improve public services.
