Somalia, 1 September 2026 Somalia's information ministry has appointed a 10-member technical committee to develop unified branding guidelines for federal government institutions.
The committee will set standards for use of logos, national symbols, colours and typography, the Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism said Monday.
The guidelines are intended to provide a common framework for how federal institutions present their official visual identity.
The team is chaired by Abdirisaq Ali Ibrahim, with Abdishakur Ali Ahmed as deputy and Mohamed Dubo as coordinator.

Other members are lawyer Omar Mohamed Abdulle, who will serve as legal adviser, Abdinasir Ahmed Bashir, Abdirahman Ahmed Hussein, Yusuf Sheikh Issa, Galad Jama Nur, Osman Habib Osman and Ibrahim Mohamed Nur.
The ministry said the committee will work within a specified timeframe but did not give a completion date.
The minister also established a National Branding Office within the ministry to support implementation of the initiative.
The move comes as the ministry works on national identity initiatives. In July, the cabinet approved a Culture and Arts Bill aimed at protecting and promoting Somalia's cultural heritage.
