Washington DC(Mogadishu24)-In a recent meeting of the Somalia Quint Group, representatives from Türkiye, Qatar, the UAE, UK, and the USA gathered in Washington to discuss strategies for enhancing Somalia’s security and state-building efforts.

National Security Adviser Hussein Sheikh-Ali emphasized the need for a comprehensive approach to eradicate Al-Shabaab and Daesh.

The 7th Quint meeting reviewed the transition timeline of the African Union Transition Mission in Somalia (ATMIS) and discussed Somalia's Security Sector Reform. State Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ali M. Omar, highlighted the importance of collaborative efforts to create sustainable peace in Somalia.
