Qatar, July 15, 2026 – Somalia President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud arrived in Doha on Tuesday to offer condolences to Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani following the death of former Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, according to the Somali Presidency.
In a meeting at the Lusail Palace, President Mohamud expressed deep sorrow over the loss and reaffirmed Somalia's solidarity with the Qatari people during this difficult time. He extended heartfelt condolences to the Emir, the royal family, and the citizens of Qatar, wishing them patience and resilience.
