Mogadishu (Dawan) – A new cybersecurity terminology initiative launched today in Mogadishu to improve public understanding of technology and internet security in Somalia.
The project is a joint effort by the National Communications Authority (HIQ), the Somali Language Academy (AGA), and the Academy of Science, Culture & Literature.
The launch introduced over 100 new Somali-language terms related to cybersecurity. The first phase of the terminology development is expected to be completed within a month, with plans to create a dedicated cybersecurity dictionary in Somali.
