Vienna, Austria (Mogadishu24)– Somalia has officially become the newest member of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), following its acceptance at the 68th IAEA conference in Vienna Monday. This significant milestone underscores Somalia's commitment to the peaceful use of nuclear energy and sustainable development.
"Today, Somalia has officially become a member of the International Atomic Energy Agency. We are committed to promoting the peaceful use of nuclear energy," said Abdirizak Omar Mohamed, Somalia's Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources.
