MOGADISHU (Dawan Africa) Somalia strongly condemned drone attacks targeting Saudi Arabia after Riyadh said Sunday it intercepted and destroyed drones entering its airspace.
In a statement issued by Somalia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the government described the attacks as a clear violation of Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty and a threat to regional peace and stability.
“Somalia once again reaffirms its full solidarity with the brotherly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia,” the statement said.
The Somali government also expressed support for all measures aimed at protecting Saudi Arabia’s security, stability and territorial integrity.

The Foreign Ministry said attacks targeting the security of states and critical infrastructure pose a danger to the wider stability of the region and risk escalating existing tensions.
Somalia further called on all sides to exercise restraint, respect international law and strengthen efforts aimed at preserving regional peace and security.
The statement comes amid continued regional tensions and growing concerns over drone and missile attacks targeting infrastructure and security facilities across the Middle East.
