Egypt, 8 September 2026 Foreign Affairs Minister, Abdisalam Ali Dhaay, represented Somalia on Monday at the 166th session of the Arab League Council at the ministerial level, in Cairo, the Foreign Affairs Ministry said.
The meeting focused on issues related to Palestine, regional peace and security, and strengthening cooperation among Arab League member states.

Somalia also participated in the 11th meeting of the Arab Ministerial Committee tasked with addressing Israeli actions in occupied Jerusalem, reaffirming its support for the Palestinian people and emphasizing the importance of unity and cooperation among Arab countries.
The Arab League Foreign Ministers’ meeting is one of the regular forums where member states discuss political, security and cooperation issues affecting the region.
