Sudan, 6 April 2026- Somalia’s ambassador to Sudan Ahmed Jama Omar has presented his letters of credence to Sudan’s foreign minister Muhiuddin Salim, solidifying diplomatic relations.
During the ceremony, the ambassador conveyed greetings from Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud and reiterated Mogadishu’s commitment to strengthening bilateral relations and expanding cooperation in areas including politics, trade, education and culture.
State media reported on Sunday that the two sides also discussed the importance of advancing mutual interests that contribute to regional stability, sustainable development and broader international cooperation.
