Doha(Mogadishu24)-State Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ali Mohamed Omar, who is currently in Qatar, highlighted the significance of the upcoming Somali Diaspora event in Doha.
He noted the critical role the diaspora plays in Somalia's rebuilding efforts, business investments, and supporting families back home.
The Minister's comment comes two days after Somali Prime Minister, Hamza Abdi Barre appointed him as country's representative for the East African Community Affairs. It also came as the possibility of talks between the Somali Government and Al-Shabaab could take place in Doha, Qatar.
