Mogadishu (Dawan Africa) Somalia’s Ports Minister Abdulkadir Mohamed Nur accused the opposition of being used by foreign actors to create unrest in Mogadishu.
The minister claimed in a post on his X account that “foreigners” were pressuring opposition groups to create chaos in Mogadishu before releasing funds to them.

Nur alleged that the opposition was planning to create chaos in recreational areas, like Liido Beach, where residents gather for leisure.
The accusation comes amid rising political tensions in Mogadishu ahead of the opposition’s planned demonstrations on June 4.
