Mogadishu, 7 September 2026 The Somali Football Federation on Sunday opened applications for its second CAF D Licence coaching course.
The course is open to candidates at least 16 years old who have completed the Grassroots and Preliminary Coaching modules, the federation said.
Applicants must be able to read and write in English and pay a $35 commitment fee.
The course will run 60 hours, excluding examinations, and will be delivered in phases. Candidates must maintain 100% attendance to pass, the federation said.
The CAF D Licence is part of the Confederation of African Football's coaching pathway and provides foundational training, particularly for grassroots coaches.

The program covers coaching principles, basic techniques, session planning, player safety and safeguarding, laws of the game, communication and leadership, and grassroots player development.
The federation has conducted CAF D Licence courses previously as part of efforts to strengthen coach education. In February 2025, it held a course in Baidoa, and another concluded at its headquarters in Mogadishu in July.
It has also expanded courses outside the capital to provide formal training in other regions.
Successful candidates will be informed about procedures for further payments, the federation said. Applications are being accepted through an online form.
