Somalia, 21 April 2026 Somali Engineers Association (SEA) joined engineering talks in Mombasa, Kenya, on regional cooperation and professional standards.
The forum brought together engineers, government institutions, professionals, and various stakeholders to discuss ways to advance the engineering profession and enhance regional cooperation. Participants also exchanged knowledge and experiences related to infrastructure development and Africa’s economic growth.
Discussions focused on sustainable engineering, asset development planning, and the blue economy, particularly for coastal countries such as Somalia.

In his keynote address, Heyle emphasize the critical role of engineers in national development. He underscored the need to strengthen regional collaboration and enhance the quality, innovation, and professional capacity of Somali engineers.
SEA’s participation highlights the growing collaboration among engineering institutions across East Africa.
