Mogadishu(Mogadishu24)-The Cabinet Ministers of Somalia convened on Thursday for their weekly meeting, primarily focusing on the country’s security situation. During the session chaired by the Acting Prime Minister and Minister of Justice, Mr. Hassan Maalim Mohamud Sh. Ali, the Ministers were given greenlights on the achievements of the Somali National Army in their ongoing war against the Al-Shabaab militants.
In light of the persistent Al-Shabaab attacks, the Ministers engaged in deep discussions and condemned the recent cowardly assault on Jaalle Siyaad Military Academy, where over three dozens of soldiers were killed and others injured during their training.
In addition to tackling security concerns, the Cabinet Ministers also prioritized important legislative matters and approved several important bills. The bills passed during the meeting include:
Today's Cabinet comes as Somalia's President, Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister are in foreign trip to Italy, Tanzania and Russia.
