Central Kenya is not left out. Nyeri, Murang’a, Kirinyaga, Embu, Meru, Kiambu, Tharaka Nithi, Laikipia and Nyandarua will also get rain. Some parts of Machakos, Kitui, Makueni, Kajiado, Narok and Nairobi may receive showers too.
Along the coast and in the east, rain is expected in parts of Garissa, Tana River, Lamu, Kilifi, Mombasa and Kwale.
Isolated storms may happen in some places. This means heavy rain can fall in a short time in small areas. The amount of rain will not be the same everywhere. Some places may get more rain than others, even in the same county.

This rain is part of the bigger October to December rainy season. Many people are talking about El Niño. El Niño is a weather pattern that happens when the water in the Pacific Ocean gets warmer than usual. It can bring more rain to Kenya during this season. Weather experts say El Niño is strong this year and may stay strong for several more months.
The rains can help farmers and fill water sources. But they can also cause problems. Heavy rain may lead to floods or muddy roads. People living in low areas or near rivers should stay careful.
The Kenya Meteorological Service asks everyone to keep checking weather updates. Rainfall can change quickly. Stay safe and plan ahead.
