MOGADISHU, 6 October 2026 Qatar Charity and Mogadishu Somali-Türkiye Hospital on Tuesday signed an agreement in Mogadishu to provide free dialysis services to 100 patients suffering from kidney disease.
The project will run for one year, with Qatar Charity and Mogadishu Somali-Türkiye Hospital jointly funding the initiative.
Abdifitah Adan, head of Qatar Charity's office in Somalia, said the purpose of the agreement is to ensure that 100 patients suffering from kidney failure receive comprehensive and free healthcare services for one year.

Adan also said Mogadishu Somali-Türkiye Hospital had previously brought in 15 dialysis machines, which he said would help expand healthcare services for patients suffering from kidney disease.
Qatar Charity announced in July its plans for healthcare projects in Somalia for 2026 and 2027, including programmes aimed at supporting people in need of medical care, particularly patients suffering from chronic diseases.
The project is part of Qatar Charity's healthcare initiatives in Somalia, aimed at improving access to regular and free dialysis services for patients who need them.
