MOGADISHU, 4 October 2026 Children born with heart defects are receiving free life-saving surgery under a programme launched Saturday by Qatar Charity in Mogadishu.
The surgeries are being performed at Somali Sudanese Hospital, with 35 children expected to benefit during the campaign running through October 7.
The initiative targets children from families unable to afford heart surgery, giving them access to specialised care to address their conditions.
