Somalia, 19 August 2026 - Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud on Wednesday received the credentials of seven new ambassadors at Villa Somalia, the presidency said.
The ambassadors represented Algeria, Brazil, India, Mali, Myanmar, Nigeria and Pakistan, the presidency said in a statement.
Mohamud discussed with the envoys their priorities and plans for strengthening relations and cooperation between Somalia and their respective countries, it said.

The talks covered political cooperation, economic development, security and social affairs, the presidency said.
The ambassadors also conveyed messages and greetings from the leaders of their countries and expressed their commitment to strengthening bilateral ties with Somalia, the presidency said.
