Nigeria, 24 April 2026 Somalia’s new ambassador to Nigeria, Mohamed Osman Mohamed, presented his credentials to Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Somali Embassy in Abuja said.
The ceremony took place in Abuja on Thursday. According to a statement from the embassy, During the event, Tinubu reaffirmed Nigeria’s commitment to strengthening bilateral relations with Somalia.
The Nigerian president highlighted the importance of expanding cooperation in key areas including trade, security, sustainable development and cultural exchange, the Somali embassy said in a statement

The appointment, the Somali embassy said, reflects Somalia’s broader efforts to strengthen its international relations based on mutual respect and shared interests.
