Kenya, June 22, 2026 - The Kenya Accountants and Secretaries National Examinations Board (KASNEB) has officially launched its Centres of Excellence programme across 11 institutions to strengthen partnerships with accredited institutions and enhance the delivery of quality financial and accounting training.
In a statement on Monday, KASNEB said the programme will play a central role in improving the visibility of professional courses and expanding access to high-quality training for students pursuing KASNEB qualifications.
The centres include the Eldoret National Polytechnic, Kenya Coast National Polytechnic, Kisumu National Polytechnic, Meru National Polytechnic, Sigalagala National Polytechnic, and Kisii National Polytechnic.
Other centres include the Nyeri National Polytechnic, Nyandarua National Polytechnic, Nairobi Institute of Business Studies (NIBS), KCAU Professional and Technical Training Institute, and Wote Technical Training Institute.
"We are proud to announce the official launch of the KASNEB Centres of Excellence! The designated Centres of Excellence will serve as hubs for academic excellence, innovation, and learner support, advancing KASNEB's mission of making professional education more accessible and impactful," KASNEB stated.
KASNEB is a state corporation under the National Treasury that develops syllabuses, administers professional examinations, and issues certifications in fields like accounting, finance, credit, governance, and information technology.

The institutions offer a total of 13 distinct qualifications, which are distributed across certificate, diploma, professional, and post-professional levels.
The board administers professional and technician-level examinations three times a year, in April, August, and December. They utilize Computer-Based Examinations (CBE) alongside traditional frameworks.
KASNEB audits and accredits universities, TVET institutes, and private colleges to ensure they meet quality standards for teaching their courses. It also designs and regularly reviews curriculum frameworks to match local and international market needs.
Through the KASNEB Foundation Scheme, the board also collaborates with the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB) to provide bursaries and loans for needy students to cover tuition and exam fees.
