Jigjiga, 24 August 2026 — A Family Week Exhibition launched on Sunday in Jigjiga aims to cover education costs for 5,000 students from low-income families.
The event, running Aug. 23rd to 30th, was organized by the Jigjiga-based Mothers' Charity Association. It includes competitions, a trade fair and entertainment programmes to raise funds for students whose families cannot afford education expenses.

Officials said Family Week is part of wider charitable efforts to promote a culture of giving and support disadvantaged families, calling for expansion of similar initiatives to help children whose education is hindered by financial hardship.
