Kenya, 12 November 2025 - Isiolo South Member of Parliament, Tubi Bidu Mohamed, has passed away while undergoing treatment at The Nairobi Hospital.
The sad news was confirmed on Wednesday evening by National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang’ula, who informed Members of Parliament of Tubi’s death during a sitting in Parliament.
Tubi, who was serving his first term in the National Assembly, was described as a humble and hardworking leader devoted to serving his people. He was a member of the Departmental Committee on Environment, Forestry, and Mining, as well as the Public Petitions Committee, where colleagues say he worked passionately to ensure that voices from marginalized communities were heard.
Before joining Parliament, Tubi had a long career in county leadership. He served as the first Speaker of the Isiolo County Assembly from 2013 to 2017, where he played a key role in shaping the county’s legislative systems after devolution.
Speaker Wetang’ula mourned the MP as “a dedicated and patriotic public servant whose contribution to national development will be remembered.”
He called on Kenyans to keep the late leader’s family, friends, and constituents in their thoughts and prayers.
