Mogadishu, 24 October 2026 IBS Bank has informed its customers that the old mobile Banking app will be discontinued from 31 October 2026.
The bank encouraged its customers to switch to the new IBS Mobile Banking app to continue using its banking services in a simple, secure and modern way.
The bank said the new app is simpler than the old one and was developed after improvements were made to the previous version.
“We made improvements to the old application, and in the end a new one was built that is much simpler in terms of features than the old one,” the bank said.

The old IBS Mobile Banking app, launched in early 2020, has served customers for several years, allowing them to check their account balances, transfer money, pay bills, withdraw cash from ATMs without a card, and manage their cards.
According to the bank’s notice, the new app includes services such as IBS transfers, RTGS, cardless withdrawal, remittances, bill payments and card management.
IBS Bank, headquartered in Mogadishu, began operations on 11 October 2014.
