Haaland Makes History: Fastest to Score 100 Premier League Goals

3 November 2025 - Yesterday, in a dramatic 5–4 win over Fulham at Craven Cottage, Manchester City’s Erling Haaland etched his name into Premier League history by becoming the quickest player ever to reach 100 league goals. He achieved the feat in just 111 appearances, breaking a long-standing record previously held by Alan Shearer.

The historic strike came in the 17th minute. A precise cross from teammate Jérémy Doku found Haaland, who buried a powerful left-footed finish into the top corner, an emphatic start to what became a night of reckoning.

For context: Shearer had held the “fastest to 100” mark since 1995; he reached 100 goals in 124 games. Haaland shaved 13 games off that benchmark, a staggering demonstration of his consistency and lethal finishing.

Haaland’s 100th goal marks him out as a generational striker. At just 25 years old, and with many seasons ahead, he already joins an elite club of Premier League greats. With his current goals-per-game ratio, he could challenge all-time records if he maintains form and fitness.

He is now officially the 35th player to reach 100 Premier League goals, but by far the fastest. Speaking after the match, Haaland said: “It’s huge, and I’m really proud. The 100-club is a nice thing to be in, and I’m happy.” He added that scoring consistently is part of his job, but insisted the focus remains on helping his team win games, not records.

With 100 league goals already under his belt in record time, Haaland’s ceiling looks sky-high. If he maintains health and form, there’s a real possibility he could challenge the all-time Premier League goal record, especially given his age and the firepower surrounding him at Manchester City.

For now, though, December 2, 2025, Fulham away, will always be remembered as the night the Premier League’s fastest-ever 100-goal milestone fell.
