MOGADISHU, 14 October 2026 Galmudug State's presidential and vice-presidential elections will be held on 22 October, according to a timetable released by the National Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission.
The House of Representatives leadership election is scheduled for 18 October, four days before the presidential vote.
Under the schedule, 13 October was set for the announcement of the House of Representatives, while 14 and 15 October were allocated for preparations involving assembly members.
Members are scheduled to be sworn in on 16 October, followed by registration of candidates for speaker and deputy speakers on 17 October.
