Mogadishu (Dawan ) – European Union Ambassador to Somalia, Francesca Di Mauro, called on Somali political leaders to resume dialogue following recent violence in Mogadishu.
In a statement shared on X, Ambassador Di Mauro expressed deep concern over the clashes and the resulting casualties, emphasizing that Somali citizens need peace, stability, and progress.

“The violence that erupted in Mogadishu is deeply concerning & we deplore the casualties. Somalis need peace, stability, progress. We call on political leaders on all sides to go back to dialogue and resolve disputes peacefully,” she wrote.
The ambassador’s call highlights ongoing international concern over Somalia’s fragile political situation as tensions rise between the federal government and opposition groups.
