Jigjiga, 28 August 2026 - Ethiopia's Somali Region plans to expand its MESOB one-stop service centres to all city administrations and 85 districts, state broadcaster SRTV reported.
The centres bring together services from government agencies and private institutions under one roof, reducing time and travel costs for residents.
The Jigjiga centre was launched in December 2025 with nine institutions offering 32 services, including identification and registration, business licensing, tax, financial and investment services, and document verification.
Under the expansion plan, new centres will be established across all city administrations and 85 districts, SRTV said.

The system uses interconnected digital platforms to allow residents to access multiple services from a single location.
Deputy President Ibrahim Osman Farah met with experts on digital service delivery and system integration to support the rollout, SRTV reported.
The expansion forms part of broader efforts to modernise government service delivery in Ethiopia.
