ADDIS ABABA (Dawan) Ethiopia and France signed new energy and digitalization agreements worth €54.6 million ($64 million), Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed said.
Ahmed posted on social media that the agreements were signed during discussions he held with President Emmanuel Macron.
The €54.6 million ($64million) loan package will fund the Renewable, Integrated, Sustainable Energy and Digitalization Program.

The two countries also exchanged a new framework for a geothermal public-private partnership project aimed at generating 150 megawatts of electricity.
The PM said the agreements are part of broader efforts to strengthen economic, energy and technological cooperation between Ethiopia and France.
