Kenya, August 14, 2026 - Kenyan motorists will pay less for diesel from Saturday after the Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) cut its pump price by Sh5 per litre in the latest monthly review.
The new prices take effect on August 15 and will remain in force until September 14, 2026.
In Nairobi, diesel will now retail at Sh217.86 per litre, down from the previous price, while super petrol will remain at Sh214.03 and kerosene at Sh191.38.
In Mombasa, diesel will cost Sh214.58 per litre, with petrol maintained at Sh210.87 and kerosene at Sh188.09.
EPRA attributed the diesel reduction to a decline in the cost of imported diesel.

However, the authority said petrol and kerosene prices would have changed without government intervention. Sh938 million in stabilisation support was used to cushion consumers and keep the two products at their existing prices.
The changes mean diesel users, including motorists and businesses that rely heavily on diesel-powered transport and machinery, will get some relief over the next month.
