Djibouti, 4 September 2026 Djibouti and Yemen have agreed to strengthen cooperation in ports, maritime transport and logistics, state news agency ADI reported on Thursday.
Djibouti's Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Abdoulkader Houssein Omar received his Yemeni counterpart Afrah Abdelaziz Al-Zoubaa during her official visit, according to ADI.
The two ministers discussed strengthening historic and fraternal relations, with a focus on expanding economic and trade cooperation, ADI said.
Particular attention was given to cooperation in ports, maritime transport and logistics, sectors that play an important role in regional trade flows and connecting markets to the global economy.

The talks also addressed the security situation in Yemen and developments in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden, ADI reported.
Djibouti reaffirmed its support for Yemen's unity, independence and territorial integrity, while calling for stronger efforts to restore security and stability.
The two sides agreed to strengthen coordination and cooperation between their governments with the aim of transforming bilateral relations into a broader economic and strategic partnership, the agency said.
