Djibouti, 1 September 2026 Djibouti and the United States have discussed expanding cooperation in telecommunications and new technologies.
Communications Minister Mohamed Abdoulkader Moussa Helem met US Ambassador Cynthia Kierscht on Monday to discuss ties, the Djibouti News Agency reported.
The talks covered state of cooperation and ways to develop ties in telecoms and emerging technologies, ADI said.

The two sides also discussed prospects for expansion given growing importance of digital infrastructure to economic development.
Djibouti and the US maintain relations covering several strategic areas, according to ADI.
No agreements or specific new projects were announced.
