NEW YORK, September 26, 2026 Djibouti urged members of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to strengthen diplomatic action on Palestine and maintain focus on the crises in Sudan and Yemen, state news agency ADI reported on Friday.
Foreign Minister Abdoulkader Houssein Omar made the appeal at the OIC's annual ministerial coordination meeting on September 23, held alongside the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
He said Palestine should remain a central priority for collective action and also called for continued attention to the Rohingya, according to ADI.

Omar urged the organisation's 57 member states to work together to protect civilians, uphold international law and seek political solutions to the conflicts, ADI said.
The OIC said the meeting was chaired by Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan. Its secretary-general, Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed, called for practical steps in support of Palestinian statehood and discussed crises including Sudan and the Rohingya.
