Djibouti, 14 October 2025 — Djibouti will host the African Forum on Official Publications and International Heritage Exhibition, also known as the Heritage Forum, this week.
The high-level international event will be officially opened by President Isma’il Omar Guelleh, and will feature lawmakers, experts, and researchers from across Africa.
Djibouti becomes the first African country to host the forum, which is scheduled for 15–16 October. The event is organized by the General Secretariat of the Government of Djibouti, in collaboration with the Ministry of Youth and Culture.
The National Archive Center in Balbala district will serve as the official venue for the forum, hosting meetings, academic discussions, and knowledge-sharing sessions focusing on improving official publications and heritage preservation systems in Africa.
Additionally, the Heritage Exhibition will showcase Djibouti’s history, culture, and national archives, creating an important platform for knowledge exchange and the safeguarding of African heritage.
