Djibouti, 27 August 2026 - Djibouti will hold its first national forum on artificial intelligence on Sept. 2-3, the Djibouti Information Agency reported.
The forum will be held at the People's Palace in Djibouti City under the patronage of President Ismail Omar Guelleh.
It is being organized by the Ministry Delegate for Digital Economy and Innovation and the General Secretariat of the Government, with support from UNESCO and the U.N. Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA), ADI said.

Organizers aim to use the forum to lay the foundations for a national AI strategy and examine how the technology could contribute to economic transformation, public administration and innovation.
Discussions will focus on AI's potential impact across sectors including education, health, government services, economy and employment, and its role in supporting young people and development.
