Djibouti, July 7 2026 – The Djibouti Table Tennis Federation (FDJTT) concluded its 2025-2026 season on Monday with an awards ceremony honouring the nation’s top players and teams, officials said.
The event, held under the auspices of the Djibouti Ministry of Sports, brought together the commander of the Djibouti Coast Guard Colonel Wais Omar Bogoreh, FDJTT President Mahamoud Oumar, Secretary-General Mohamed Seugeh, the Ministry’s Director of Sports Abchir Ali Hassan, and representatives from sports federations, coaches, partners, and athlete families.
In team competitions, the Djibouti Coast Guard emerged victorious over the Gendarmerie, EMD University, and Ambouli.

In individual competitions, Bourhan Abdirazak claimed the men’s first division title, followed by Mohamed Houmed and Djamal, while Saredo Mahamoud topped the women’s first division, ahead of Nassima Mahamoud and Asma Ismaïl. In the second division, Med Abdiraouf won the boys’ category, and Fatouma Mohamed took the top spot for girls.
Abdirazak also secured the Djibouti Cup, cementing his status as a leading figure in the nation’s table tennis scene.
Officials said the awards ceremony celebrated both elite performances and the development of emerging talent, reflecting the federation’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the sport across Djibouti.
