DJIBOUTI (Dawan) Djibouti security forces said they arrested 125 people in an anti-crime operation in the city on Saturday.
In a statement, the national guard said the operation was conducted by security units supported by mobile police forces.
The raids targeted the neighborhoods of West Salines, Arhiba, Maka Al Moukaram, the Riyadh market area and sectors surrounding Siesta Beach.
Security officials said the operation was based on intelligence information and judicial investigations, targeting individuals previously identified in connection with various criminal activities.

The statement also said those arrested included a group accused of specializing in the theft of parked vehicles.
Authorities said suspects linked to criminal cases were taken into custody to allow for further investigations, while undocumented foreign nationals were repatriated to their countries of origin.
Djibouti has increased security operations and patrols in parts of the capital in recent months amid concerns over rising petty and mid-level crime.
Security forces said the operations would continue, alongside tougher measures against criminal activities.
