DJIBOUTI, October 6, 2026 Member clubs of the Djiboutian Football Federation (FDF) voted unanimously on Monday to dismiss the federation's Board of Directors and its president Souleiman Hassan Waberi during an extraordinary General Assembly held at the organisation's headquarters, the Djiboutian News Agency (ADI) reported.
According to ADI, the assembly was convened at the request of the member clubs to examine the future of the federation. None of the delegates present opposed the dismissal, which applies to the entire outgoing leadership team.
The session was supervised by a consultant, Mr. Abeyazide, and a bailiff, Mr. Habib Alwan, ADI said. Two observers from the State Secretariat for Sports were also present: Inspector General Moussa Ali Mohamed and Director of Regions Omar Hassan Abdillahi.

A member of the organising committee responsible for preparing the assembly then presented the agenda, after which the resolution to dismiss the Board of Directors and the president was put to a vote.
Following the vote, an ad hoc committee was established to ensure the continuity of the federation's work during the transition period, ADI reported.
The committee has been tasked with preparing upcoming elections in line with the federation's current statutes, with a view to establishing new leadership at the FDF.
