Djibouti (Dawan) – Djibouti National Assembly convened first regular session of 9th legislature on Wednesday and approved 2024 financial accounts of three public institutions, Djibouti News Agency (ADI) reported.
The session, presided over by Speaker Dileita Mohamed Dileita, was attended by Prime Minister Abdoulkader Kamil Mohamed, cabinet members, and all parliamentarians. The assembly also installed Dini Ali Mahamadé, who filled the seat left vacant by the death of MP Ali Mohamed Daoud on 2 April.

The MPs deliberated on compliance with financial reporting and the management of institutional budgets. Prime Minister Abdoulkader Kamil Mohamed welcomed the recommendations made, affirming that they would be considered to strengthen good governance and public administration.
The speaker announced that additional sessions would be scheduled prior to July 1.
