Kenya, August 14 2026 - The Democracy for the Citizens Party (DCP) is taking its 2027 campaign deeper into Nakuru, opening new ground-level structures as it seeks to build a stronger support base ahead of the General Election.
The party begins its Nakuru mobilisation tour on Friday with engagements planned in Naivasha, Gilgil and Nakuru town, signalling a shift towards sustained grassroots organising rather than one-off political rallies.
The first stop will be Naivasha, where DCP is scheduled to open a new party office. The office is expected to serve as a local base for coordinating the party's activities and strengthening its presence in the county.
The team will then move to Gilgil, before heading to Nakuru town for engagements in Nakuru Town West and Nakuru Town East.
In Nakuru Town West, the party plans to engage residents at Soko Mjinga, with the day's programme ending at KANU House in Nakuru Town East.

The tour comes as DCP, led by former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, expands its grassroots mobilisation across the country ahead of the 2027 polls.
The focus on establishing local offices and engaging residents at town and constituency level suggests the party is seeking to build a permanent political network capable of sustaining mobilisation beyond campaign rallies.
Friday's programme will mark Day One of the Nakuru tour, with further engagements expected as DCP continues its nationwide grassroots drive.
