August 20, 2026 - Dadaab Member of Parliament Farah Maalim has warned Health Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale that they could mobilize residents to ask President William Ruto to remove him from his current position.
Speaking during a political engagement by a section of the Aulihan community in support of Garissa Gubernatorial aspirant Abdul Haji, Farah Maalim raised concern how the CS has been interfering with other people’s affairs.
He said those close to him have given him names including sultan Hasid (Jealous sultan) after his continuous disruption and interference in their political affairs.
“We are not the one who nicknamed you sultan Hasid, its not people of Wajir or Mandera but people close to you, we are not jealous like him because if we start lobby, it won’t take 14days to have you removed from that position,” Maalim said while speaking in Somali.
His removal, he noted, is possible because President Ruto won’t entertain one individual against the masses since he wants votes from the people.
Maalim, who has been in Kenya’s political space for quite some time, accused Duale of poking his nose all over the region noting that the President cannot choose him over the masses if they decided to ask him be removed from his position.
