UK, 19 August 2026 - Inter Milan have reached a verbal agreement with Liverpool to sign Curtis Jones, with the England international now set to move to Italy after a summer-long pursuit.
The agreement is understood to be worth a €35 million package, with Inter also reaching an agreement with the player. According to the latest update attributed to Fabrizio Romano, the next major step is Jones' medical, which is being planned ahead of the transfer's formal completion.
The breakthrough represents a significant development after several weeks of negotiations between the two clubs.
Inter had identified Jones as a priority midfield target and had been pursuing him since May. Their interest intensified during the summer, but Liverpool initially resisted attempts to sign their academy graduate.
The Italian club had previously seen proposals rejected, with Liverpool initially valuing Jones at around €40 million. As the transfer window approached its conclusion, however, the Reds' asking price reportedly came down to approximately €35 million, creating the conditions for a potential agreement.
